Other AIA owners and architects agreements are more appropriate for larger and more complex projects. Documents AIA B105-2017 and A105™-2017, Standard Short Form of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor, include the Small Projects family of documents. B105-2017 is intended for use with A105-2017, which it contains as a reference. B105 is extremely abbreviated and is formatted more informally than other AIA agreements. AIA Document B105™-2017 is a standard short agreement between the owner and the architect. B105-2017 is used in a project that is modest in size and short in duration. B105-2017 replaces aIA document B105™-2007, standard form of contract between owner and architect for a residential or commercial project. Although the AIA A105 and B105 documents have similarities to other AIA agreements, the Small Projects family should not be used with other AIA families without careful comparison of content.
